Terms of Use and Terms of Sales

1. Purpose

These Terms govern the use of Mental Connect.ca and its related services (directory, forum, marketplace, confidential chat). They also regulate the contractual relationship between registered professionals, users, and the platform operator.

3. Use of the Website

  • Users agree to use the site in compliance with Canadian and Quebec laws.
  • MentalConnect.ca is not an emergency medical service. In case of emergency, immediately dial 911 or specialized hotlines.
  • The information on the platform is provided for informational purposes only and does not replace professional medical advice.

4. Professional Registration

  • Professionals must provide accurate information (name, profession, diploma, membership in a professional order, certificate).
  • MentalConnect.ca conducts document checks, but cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information provided.
  • Fraudulent or misleading profiles will be removed without notice.

5. Services Offered

  • Directory: search for professionals by language, culture, region, specialty.
  • Forum: moderated space for exchange. Offensive, discriminatory, or unlawful content will be removed.
  • Confidential Chat: secure communication with professionals.
  • Marketplace: sale of digital or physical products and services related to mental well-being.

6. Financial Terms (TOS)

  • Basic access to the directory is free.
  • Professionals may subscribe to a paid plan (Standard / Premium) to access additional services (greater visibility, statistics, marketplace).
  • Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes (GST / QST).
  • Payments are processed via secure providers (Stripe, PayPal).
  • No refunds will be granted except in cases of proven malfunction of the service.

7. Personal Data Protection

  • MentalConnect.ca only collects data necessary for matchmaking and platform functionality.
  • Data is stored on secure servers in Canada or in compliance with applicable law.
  • Users may request correction or deletion of their data by contacting info@mentalconnect.ca. Commercial communications (newsletters, promotions) are subject to express consent in
  • compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Law (CASL).

8. Responsibilities

  • MentalConnect.ca acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for the professional relationship between a user and a practitioner.
  • Professionals remain solely responsible for the care, advice, or services they provide.
  • Users acknowledge that they use the site at their own risk.

9. Intellectual Property

  • All content, logos, texts, and graphics of MentalConnect.ca are protected under Canadian copyright law.
  • Any reproduction or distribution without authorization is prohibited.

10. Termination

  • MentalConnect.ca reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in case of breach of these Terms.
  • Users may request the deletion of their account at any time.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Québec and Canada.
  • Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Québec (judicial district corresponding to the head office).
